Hair!

So a couple weeks ago, I trucked out to the community theatre studio I've been involved with twice in the last two years, and I auditioned for the musical Hair!. I was nervous; I was excited. I'd been taking voice lessons for four weeks before the audition, and was anxious to show off that I had improved greatly.
Despite some last-minute panics (I found out that the song I'd been working on was not allowed, as it was from the show. Had to memorize a whole new one in two days), the audition went fairly smoothly and I found an email in my inbox that night inviting me back for callbacks on Oct. 15th. That's tomorrow, folks!
I've lost the nervousness and am in full-on excited mode. A couple of the girls that I was in Secret Garden with two years ago have ALSO been called back, and we are looking forward to a new crazy show to get hippie with. These two girls are awesome and I can't wait to see if there's anyone else I know coming out for callbacks.
Not much of a discussion piece, I know, but I thought I'd share the latest update in A Day In The Life!

Faeren: Go for the gusto. I hope you make it into the show!! Hmmmm...... what about the nude part?? I bet/hope they leave that out. What part would you like to get? Keep us posted.

Thanks you two! I don't know what part I'll be getting - probably chorus. I'll know tonight.
As for the nude scene, I'm pretty sure that it'll be nude suits and scrims... no actual baring of skin. But I dunno... I know the director's crazy.

Well... they were interesting.
I think they went well - they were certainly fun! The director is breaking all the rules with this. First thing resembling a rehearsal and I've already been witness to two guys dropping their pants, one grabbing an older woman's butt, and several females writhing around in ecstacy.
If I get in, this is gonna be FUN.
