immersn - Theological Anthropology - Who and Where are you?

Last week's service was both inspiring and difficult.  Difficult, because I was watching my sister bear her soul in front of a group I was a part of.  At the end, I made the comment that it takes courage to stand up and bear your soul, but a totally different type of nerve to do it in front of family.  She was fantastic.

She told the story of how she didn't know what direction her life was going in, until a trip to Zambia, Africa made her reassess everything.  Since then, she's gone back to Africa and plans on going again, as she did before with Habitat for Humanity.  Her story was a great reminder that life and God is what happens when you're busy making other plans.

This week coming up, we're going to be looking at the YouTube video "Cardboard Confessionals" and doing our very best to own up to the imperfections we think we are.  It is a tough thing to know our own weaknesses, but to accept that God can, and does, make us perfect despite (or perhaps because) of them.
