Halloween came and went and I have loot bag full of memories. The Oct 31st event is now the fourth largest holiday in America for consumer spending - can you name the other three? dont forget Mother's day
This is me with a lovely stranger at the Gardiner Museum in downtown Toronto.
Her costume was amazing. She came into the party in a wedding cake - came out and they gave her a microphone and she sang a song 'dream a little dream' by the Mamas and the Papas.
Halloween is a healthy opportunity to wear a full body mask and truly be someone else. So I dont know what she looks like underneath
This girl works at Toronto wedding cakes I cant remember her name but I have been all over the website looking for it of course
If you worked all day long making wedding cakes you would think about getting married a lot, and dream a little dream about what the cake would be like at the wedding - she will probably want a big cake
One that is so large she can jump out of it.
Virgin Mobile has launched the latest in brand sponsored holidays. Now they are campaigning to make Nov 19th National Fearless Day.
Do you have a YouTube video showing yourself or someone you know doing something brave, and truly inspirational ? and doing it fearlessly?
Richard is fearless. He has sailed the Atlantic in an open boat and floated in a high altitude balloon around the globe.
Sir Richard is the perfect choice to be the judge of a video contest and he has also agreed to show up in person and award the $5000 prize which I think is even better than winning... well just as good.
So this is the birth of a new consumer holiday. It might succeed and someday be just as big as Halloween... I guess it all depends on how important we, as a society, believe it is to be fearless and that's something to be determined on November 19th
