Believing is hard when u feel God has just never shown up..

I read every day many forms of biblical instruction and all I ask is for God to show up in a manner I can recognize so that I know He is present in my life. Is asking for this a unfaithful?

It doubles up when hard line religion kicks you in the head and tells you to go to a warmer climate, adding they 're good as they have money ... but they won't share equally for the work you have done. Go figure!

It makes you think and they don't so what is the ultimate end result ... fall of another dumb empirical function: Rome, Nazi, US, or is that us?

Enigmas, more puzzles to make people think and they just won't see a pain ... they might learn something! We couldn't be caught thinking ... could we? That's dangerous ...

I don't think it's "unfaithful", but I have a question. What do you mean by "....a manner I can recognise"? Maybe you are looking so hard for something YOU might recognise, you are missing that God might show up in an entirely different way...

God was there before you arrived, you're waiting for something that already happened.  He is in your heart, the air you breathe, you and God are only as far apart as you stand from him.  God created us out of love, all God wants is the world to love. Love like Jesus loved.  That is how God loves you.  Talk to God and he will listen, listen to God and he will talk.

Hello everyone.....God bless you...

Great wisdom here.....yes God is all around us when I get tired and weary I start counting the blessings God gives me then, I know He is surely with me...my husband, son, daughter-in-law..new grandbaby, my sisters, my friends, a warm home, food, the things I require in life....peace and happiness come from God...

Here is a way I see the scriptures to help me see God ...

The "Lord is my shepard....

the Lord "Is" my shepard..

the Lord is "My" shepard...

when studying scripture read them slowly to see if it applies anywhere in your life...when going through your bible use a hightligher to underline the messages from God...we must believe the divine is in the scriptures...use different coloured hightlighter as these are the scriputures that seem to surface in the times we require them...just dont skip through the bible read and reread stories, palms , scriptures...all of the sciptures speak to us ....others speak Gods messages to us ...everyday creation speaks God to us ....when we see God all around us it is easier to believe by faith ...He Does Indeed Love Us....Talks to Us and Wants us to Seek Him....

No, not unfaithful. You cannot be unfaithful until you understand your faith. I suggest you start by not looking to the Bible for the form your God will come to you. This is a record of those days, when things were very different.

God created us, likely through a very long process of evolution, but here we are. We believe that we are created in his 'image'. This doesn't mean he is a she or looks like us, but rather that how we see our internal selves is a sacred process of seeking the God within. God is part of "It's" creation. God is in nature -birds and flowers and trees, outside of us, but also within us. If you are looking for a God that you can recognize, look within. God is imprinted on what we often call our "Soul". We only say this because we don't know how this is done. When you have a 'guilty conscience', God is nudging you. God has created EVERY person to be good. Some have fallen away from their goodness. This is "free will". It is not God's doing, but rather what God allows. God allows us to evolve as we wish. God is just our Creator. He does not directly intervene because "he" dwells within you. YOU intervene, if you choose to.

Hope this helps...
