Annointed: The 'Oil' of Our Lives

Beauty is perfection, and enters the soul.

Sex is life creation, and enters the soul.

We think beauty can be owned.

We are fascinated we can create beauty.

Beauty and sex were women's, once.

Life and beauty.

Has rationalism really clarified the poetry of life? The meaning?

Our world reflects the state of our hearts.

Perfect concrete, perfectly running cars, perfect science and rationalism everywhere.

Not natural, but made from life.

The concrete is not alive. We didn't make life.

Our minds think it owns beauty. That thought of beauty enters our souls.

Beauty, perfection, power, rational.

Controlling life, creating our life, but not creating life.

Not soul work. But entering the soul just the same.

Beauty and sex were once women's. Now women are owned by it.

Cosmetics, porn, birth control, freedom, broken up, re-arranged to control the beauty of our lives, controlling the meaning, controlling the beauty, controlling life, but not creating it.

Sex is beautiful. Sex creates life. We control life. We control sex. We control beauty.

The science and business of beauty and sex, in the rational machine, of concrete, malls, and Internet.

Has rationalism really clarified the poetry of life, the meaning?

Has the beauty and sex that we have rationalized created any life? Has the ownership? It makes sense in the city. Does it make sense anywhere else?

What does our beauty and sex do to our souls? Both are owned. Both are controlled. Science and business make them rational. They make sense in the concrete. But beauty and sex don't make sense in the poetry of Nature. It is now an environment. The life, the beauty, the sex, the poetry, the meaning under rational control.

Education is crucial. We are educated in rationalism. Every subject, including poetry, a rational explanation of every subject, brought under control. The mathematically arranged meaning, to our liking.

The beauty owned, the life brought under control. The meaning not alive, but a statue, enters our souls, the idol, the freedom to move around inanimate objects. The beauty, the mathematical perfection, the mathematical meaning, arranged in our heads. Ratio, rational, values, Equality, our own balance in our rational concrete.

There is no specific consciousness outside of humans. Everything is lifeless. Human life cannot be extinguished. All other life we can. Rational intelligence tells us this is so. Life is intelligence.

Beauty and sex used to be women's, once. Separate, enters the soul, but the same, creating life, creating meaning.

We create beauty, rationally. We must know why it is beautiful, why we feel good from it, so we can control its affect on our hearts, and do it again.

We use beauty for sex, but we don't use sex for life creation or the soul. Life will not be created. No other life will enter our souls, unless our minds allow it. It is only rational, protection.

Perfect mathematical mind, meaning, rational, control, environment, human environment, Nature must conform, become the environment like ours, not alive, not free, not a heart, but an object of our minds.

We don't really know how to create life. We only know how to create rationalism. Mathematical perfection, masquerading as beautiful meaning. Perfection as beautiful life, that's escapes the mind, and is the sole province of the heart. Rationalism, the imitation, the jealousy of the power of the heart to create beauty, life and meaning, instead of a mathematical system, an equation, math class.

Beauty and sex were women's, once.

Now they are Equal. It is only rational.

Rationalism, the engine of our cities. Rationalism has seized human life. No wonder we need so much oil.

Your blog made me think of the story of Frankenstein. We, as a race, have learned much about the mysteries of beauty. I remember being fascinated by a particularly well-versed math teacher as he shared with us 'Phi', also known as the golden ratio. Proportions, measures, numbers... early humans (check out Pythagoras) even worshipped their power.

So, enlightened with our own sense of intelligence, we try to reverse it. After finding logic in the beauty, we try to create beauty with the logic. What we get is as you say, lifeless reproductions of mathematical formulae. Monstrous facsimiles of living, breathing art. Frankenstein.

I love art. I think as a form of expression, it can be and is powerful, symbolic and provocative. But we have forgotten that it is a copy of what 'art' and 'creation' is really supposed to be about. Because if we remember how Frankenstein ended... it was the creator that was the monster, not the created.

I love the way you put that, Faerenach!

Thank you! :-)

I have been told I think to much by many people ... is that rational or irrational (beyond thought)?

Can a mere human mix two sticky immiscible portions ... like oil and water?

Does one have to become a bit of the devil ... an alien spook that frightens pure physical beings of Jacked creation? I think that is light if one can see in the reflection of self!

Duads, dualities ... if one can only awaken the other, ethereal portion and glow with unseen light ... Lucrecious emissions?

A wee fire, plasma, Eire, muse of the waters and a core of stone ... near nothing! How would that cook up ... out of balence if done with pure emotion and no thought? How did God start: without a care, or without a thought? Are we working towards balance ... learning?

Now that's an infinite Job caught between the deep blue "c" and the devil!

Where have I heard this Tory before ... antes, prior us of time?

Heh, heh ... now ain't that a Holy Devil beyond Roman conquest?

Just where the sole of mine's psyche should be supporting grounded bean!

Hi Waterbouy,

Well, that is the civilized conundrum. Can we use knowledge wisely? Or can we use it with just the pride of our minds, and do a better job with this Creation, than God?

Is there anything in our daily lives that is 'wise' anymore? Everything we need to live wrecks the environment somewhere. So we know how good using knowledge without wisdom is.

Spirituality and civilization don't mix right now. The Church hasn't figured out how to solve that. Long story. And no one wants to go back to the old days.

So we have to look at what is missing in both Christianity and secular society, to see how we can do things better.

Our reality is a reflection of ourselves, more than ever before. We live in manufactured objects without any contact with non-human life. We want to fix global warming by turning Nature in the system called the environment, and managing like we manage our cities. We want Nature to reflect us. We think we have enough knowledge of Nature, but do we have any wisdom?

Wisdom comes from the heart. Knowledge comes from the mind. Thoughts 'come through' both places. Some can listen to the wisdom without the mind interfering. Most cannot. Consciousness is not just in the mind. Something else we have lost.

God never started. That is the problem with the Big Bang, God and the universe. The only place Time and Space exist, is in civilized minds. Ironically, Einstein taught us this as well. There is no such thing as time and space outside of our animal bodies. The universe is as small as a pin-head, and more massive than we can measure. It doesn't matter. In actual reality time and space don't exist, so God could not be 'created,' because that is a time reference. We seem to have a real problem with consciousness. We think only humans and God has it, and God conforms to civilized thinking.

Lots to unravel before actual reality can be rediscovered by the civilized. I wonder if we're going in the right direction?

Thanks!

Dan Goleman ... a business prof at Harvard has written several books on emotional intelligence. One in particular is Primal Leadership a sense of archtypical wisdom ... a bulb in the flower or the corollary for balance!

There is a sense of need for balance for emotions with intellectual growth ... is this possible in this dimension or something to dream about and help awaken an arrested love (God)?

Are we corrupted by a self-centred passion that just grabs for knowledge for individual betterment rather than lifting our surroundings? I like FDR and JFK's comments on reality ... what do you ask of your church, etc: "What it can do for you?" or "What you can do for it to reflect on the nothing (love) given to you as a secondary God?" That is a daemon in classic tongues ... now consider your image of the devil! Now that is a travail (Job) between the devil and a deep blue sea of light support!

If gravid stuff pulls us together ... what sets us apart from this world, now that's enigma!

Is it an imperfect world without some pure thoughts? What have been our role models ... Roman conquest of another's space. Ain't that a who-T in the night?

Blessings!
