Genetic Breakthroughs Leading Back to Owning Humans

This is actually quite funny. Science is making major breakthroughs in creating their own designer life. Life can be created and owned, and used for commercial applications. We don't understand our modern disconnection from non-human life. We live in manufactured objects. Everything is an object, unless its human, for now.

We just spent 200 years freeing human life from slavery, misogyny, homophobia... to say that human life must be free and not owned.

This research is heading toward designer humans. Corporations that map individual's DNA actually own the patent on your genes, not you! So they will have a proprietary and economic interest in controlling whatever they make. And be able to sell their perfectly designed children to parents, on an equal monthly payment plan...

So what does the Religious Right do in the U.S.? It can't complain because it loves American capitalism. And Christianity is all about getting humans as perfect as possible, ready for heaven.

But if we protest this ownership of life, then the abortion debate opens again, saying that a woman may own her own body, but not the life of the unborn. So the liberals will be in a bind as well.

Before those whacky Monty Python boys die, they will have to update their movie, 'The Meaning of Life'...

It is interesting how biology is far more threatening to the future of mankind than the simple destruction we now do. Pollution from cars and chemical factories are pretty simple things. But when man-made biological agents that 'have a mind of their own' start to get marketed, simple chemical pollution elements will seem like a kindergarten problem compared to this. All we have to do now is stop carbon emissions, and we can't even control ourselves on that. Now we are improving our catastrophe. We just keep getting better at everything...

How do you sell this to the Religious Right???

We don't need the Book of Revelation. We can destroy ourselves just fine! If Heaven can only come up with Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, that's a rather limited choice. I'm sure that science and business can come up with a lot more.

Apocalyptic consumerism... now there's a growth market!!!

O'man brother ... intellectual ownership of your very mind.

What Charles Dickens called "private property" in his novels.

There is a sense of privacy and then privacy be damned; the powerful feel they should control it all. Now look at the authorities of our world in all their strength ... can any of them think deeply? Now that is a human enigma that indicates their has to be another tier of consciousness ... God arrested after the first seven daze of creation? It has to baffle the most loving of minds!

There is an organization that wishes to get back to basics of freedoms of all sorts without any reverence for the common folk ... you know Pagans that we have been taught to hate ... the self for instance. If the common string holds up creation, the universe ... what happens when you destroy the base habits without respect of reverence for the wee ones?

Pres. Regan was said to fear the dark (unknown). I wonder if he realized that the simple atom is peculiar space 1/10 to 15th power void. It gave creation room to think in a peculiar space of non-existential mind to the physically oriented. Isn't that a spacy spirit?

In Hebrew the word for fear is allal which has the alternate meaning of reverence, or respect. Were we supposed to respect all spacy creations? Then alternate is "cos" and mind is moes in myth.

What of a cos micky mind? God a physical person couldn't contemplate the infinite ... could they?

Consider the word telling us not to declare our God for we would soon be proven wrong. Is that an imperfect creation? It gives one something to hope for in the beyond of myth ... just a giggle from a satyrical mind of the upended persuasion ... reciprocal in the mir ore. Recall the first command about no thing!
May Love and caring caress all your spiritual th'oughts ... nothing to an authority that has no value for a thinking bean ... Jack afloat?

Manipulation of the bos-ons and nuclei should be done with great expansive care, powers do that with only internal care, ignorant of what supports them .. like Haeman in his sticky situation! Boss turkey boezons? Wait till they hit the wind shield of God's distributed storm. What a blast ...
