When the new residential hospice opened at Seasons retirement community, I knew that in time I would be visiting there. People whom I was visiting at home or in hospital would be transferred there for the best palliative care possible.
I was right. I am visiting people in the residential hospice now.
Guess what/
Christianity in Canada isn't dying. Especially the Roman Catholic Church. Reg Bibby sugests that the Roman Catholic Church will grow and change.
So will all other denominations.
Canda is still a dominantly Chriustian country.
Immigration will positively affect the Roman Catholic Church and to a lesser extent, other churches.
We need not fear other faiths. They will increase, but not as anyone has been predicting.
Those of you who were at the WonderPicnic on July 3 will have met Audrey; others may know her as well.
Her mother has had cancer, and is approaching the end of her life. Audrey and her family would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers as they go through this trying time.
May God grant them grace, strength and courage for the difficult time now, and for the days and weeks ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, Audrey. God bless.
This is something that I would like to hear different responses to. When we die are we going to see friends and loved ones? How? Where?
If not why do we talk about the saints in church that we will when we die?
Yesterday my youngest daughter, 23, graduated from Simon Fraser University - we went to her Convocation. I got cancer when she was just 11, and was told basically that I would probably only live a couple of years. Now I'm suffering from some form of debilitating arthritis and I'm on disability 1/2-time. I was getting pretty whiny about it.
