Affirmations of Christmas
I BELIEVE that Christmas is more than a time for parties and ornaments; it is a time for remembering Christ and the incarnation of God's love in human flesh.
Hi folks
I know there are wise and compassionate folks on this site.
I also recognize that there are those who have lived through tough times..when just breathing was about all that you were up to.
I am hoping that all you wise people will list out ideas for supporting folks who are going through treatments or their families. Of course, it doesn't have to be cancer treatments; however, I figure it is one of the more common scenarios that you might think of
Hello all,
as already mentioned on one of Crazy hearts threads
Who" in for Xmas gift exchange?
Can anyone spare the time to Organize It?
I'm too swamped right now-but I've really enjoyed getting and sending gifts the last 2 years.
For those new -or newish to wc we sent a wondermail with our real address (or church address-if you wanted to be more private) to the organizer. In return we got someone's address and mailed them a gift. A gift arrived for us!
Lots of fun!
So who can organize?
Last week I went to lunch with my oldest sister Aj. We went to the Russian Tea Room where my favorite psychic Darryl reads palms and tarot cards. I turned 22 at the end of August and I was curious to know how where my life path was directed, now that I am clean & sober. He said that I am on a very spiritual path. In the past I may have been afraid of my talents because of the great responsibility they would place on me, but now I am more prepared to accept them. My intuition is a bit keener than usual. My dreams are very vivid.
As the day winds down, I reflect that the sun set just an hour or so ago on my birthday. The mail has come - hours ago - and suprisingly there were no gifts from subscribers to wondercafe (or anybody else.) It is, I suppose an indication of how secular and self seeking this world has become that followers of wondercafe could have been so neglectful.
Has anyone read Atwoods Payback on the nature of debt ... it might put a hole in you perspective of fixed religious thinking imposed by athority!
Float a thought on it ... the demon to religious thinking on change, evolution and all such things as growth. Can a believer do such a thing without a whisp of doubt ... a shadow of a breeze across the pool of the mind?
