What's the purpose of this guy? More than 5 years ago, I have begun to reject the concepts behind hell, Satan, demons, fallen angels and whatnot. While I'm Christian, I just don't see why he has to exist.
In fact, I think it's scape-goating that brought him into Christianity. People didn't understand concepts like the unconscious, dreaming, psychology in general and blamed the devil and demons for their thoughts and the "voices" they heard.
Well, that's my opinion. Do you believe in Satan?
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is a meal with the community and God.
If you were making a toast at this meal, what would you say?
I was wondering are God, Jesus, and The Spirit always combined.
If not which entity do you relate most to in your life -God....Jesus.....Spirit?
Can you have one without the other?
Is one more important to you than another?
Reading threads this morning and looking at scriptures for Sunday, it has come to mind that we are "possessive" people. Why do we think that God is ours? That we own God. That no one else has the right to know God. It is not a pleasant trait, imo.

He talked about how God is all around us, and that "God is closer to everything than it is to itself". But the thing that really stood out for me was his question to the congregation: "Do you want a God who fits nealty into your lives? I don't.
In a recently shut down thread, there was an exchange like the following...

This is a great Canadian movie, which explores one man's search for God / meaning after a diagnoses of Cancer at age 25. He goes on a road trip across Canada, which becomes a celebration of life, and everything Canadian.
This stems from Richard Bott's thread on Creedo amd Gord's post in Should we pray to Jesus or God. I have spent over night thinking about this.
These are personal musings and I speak for only myself.
There is the story told of the lapsed Catholic who hadn't been active in the faith for many years calling for a priest and last Rites when he was dying.
