Well, I wish our pal witch was around. I know he has all the history of this event at his fingertips.
Does your religion not talk about Halloween because you think it is a pagan religion?
Do you think celebrating Halloween is a sin?
Just wondering........
What are you giving out at door? I have chocolate bars.
More and more people are decorating their houses. Are you seeing this in your community?
Well, tomorrow is Halloween. Children are going to come to my door asking for the kind of treats that their parents withhold from them ordinarily and my response is supposed to be to give it to them. Are we celebrating scarcity and encouraging hoarding? I thought that this was supposed to be a celebration of the macabre? I shouldn't really knock it though. As morally ambiguous as the holiday is at least I'm not being hypocritical by celebrating it. Not like easter.
Unsure of a great way to celebrate Halloween on line?
Want to work out your passive-aggressive thoughts about felines?
Try Cat Bowling!!!!
Humour alert. This is a making fun of Homophobic people, not effeminate boys. OK
Just curious...do any of you dress up or are planning to dress up for Halloween, either to give out candy or for an adult get together?? If so, what shall you be??
Hi all
Last year my department (well most of us anyway) dressed up as Smurfs for Halloween. It was a big hit and we had a blast. We've come up with a couple of ideas for this year so far: The men as the Pussycat Guys and the women as the Backstreet Girls (not sure we have enough people for that), circus or zoo theme, sports figures or dress as the products that we manufacture.
So, I am curious with folks here.
What age did you let your kids go out without you?
When did they (or you) decide it was time to stop going out?
What alternatives do you have?
Also, comment if you would on the trend in some US cities (haven't heard of it in Canada), to schedule Hallowe'en by neighbourhood / region...so that some kids go out on say, the last Saturday in october, and others, the 2nd last...etc.
