With Caller ID display on the phone I tend to pick up and say "Hello ______."

Filling in the blank with the name of the number being called from.

She has a work number which shows up as private caller.

Last night I went, with my son, to see Hot Fuzz.

Simply put it is brilliant.

Gloriously, stunningly, absolutely brilliant.

Everything about it is top drawer (there is one sloppy edit during a chase scene over some fences).

It does a superb job lifting up the fish out of water elements as well as doing a throughly authentic turn of the "buddy" theme.

This morning, surrounding the 1 Corinthians 15 passage I introduced the topic of resurrection during the children's time.

What is it I asked?

We started the back and forth.

One kid thought it sounded like being a zombie. I suggested that was reanimation rather than resurrection and we went off on a tangent about why zombies are different.

"They have no brains!" suggested one youngster. I countered with "If they have no brains how do you stop a zombie?"

Poetry is not my forte.

Such tiny hands for holding
Such a tiny head for knowing
His nuts he should be stowing
Fluffy little squirrel.

Such large eyes for our beholding
A large debt we are owing
My computer screen is glowing
From the light of yonder squirrel
