Omar Khadr, Christian

Let's say Omar Khadr is a  Christian. When a child (as defined by law) he was visitng Christian friends in another country, they were suddenly attacked by large numbers of heavily armed Moslem foreigners. All of his friends were killed. Can you imagine being fifteen years old with strange men screaming and  shooting at you, and your friends lying splattered all over the ground?

In his panic, he may have thrown a grenade. In his position, i might well have thrown one, too - though I am well over 15.

Wow! Syria tortures people.

I just heard it on the news. Syria might be using torture in its prisons - which hold ten thousand prisoners. (US prisons hold a more reasonable 2.4 million).

Now, we will no doubt hear that NATO must intervene for humanitarian reasons, just as it did in Libya. The world cannot allow torture by foreigners. Stephen Harper will rally us to the cause.

You remember Stephen. He's the one who allowed the US to "render" at least to Canadians to Syria where they could be tortured by the CIA.

Arrogance

I wish that the Canadian Public school system would teach philosophy and logic at a younger age...  Touching on it briefly in grade 12 doesn't count.  It sure would be nice if the people that I pick fights with had the same tools that I do.  I guess I wouldn't be able to so thoroughly trounce and browbeat my opponents if that were the case.

Okay, maybe we should keep things the way they are...

Omar Khadr and "Evangelical Christian" Stephen Harper

The holiest time of year for Christians is imminent.  In Canada, self-avowed "Evangelical Christian" Stephen Harper is taking steps to load the Senate he had previously claimed to despise with Harper supporters: network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2008/12/12/national-post-editorial-board-packed-senate-is-an-opportun-ity-missed.aspx

Harper apparently now loves the Senate

From the CBC News, December 11th, full article found at:

www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/12/11/harper-senate.html

Prime Minister Stephen Harper plans to fill all 18 vacancies in the Liberal-dominated Senate before Christmas, a spokesman for his office told CBC News.

The move came under quick attack from opposition parties, who questioned whether Harper has the right to make patronage appointments while Parliament is suspended.

Dependants of Christ

Collectively Christendom is hypocritical, pathetic, and plastered with idolatry! It is the sad reality of the church. However, there still are genuine God fearing, Jesus loving, Holy Spirit driven Christians out there who care more about the Lord Jesus than themselves, wherefore they won’t let the despicable condition of the church prevent or impede them from loving and giving glory to Christ Jesus.
