...just a few, quiet reflections.
1. there will never be a Palestinian nation. There isn't enough land even for the people who live there. And there are millions more who have been living in camps for sixty years. Look at a map that shows how small it is. Israel has annexed so much land, stolen so much, and made so much of it unusable that a Palestine cannot survive.
There was a thread recently where a question was asked but not answered and I can't remember where it is.
The question was something like ,"Why in other religions do we refer to their stories as myths but in Christianity we refer to the stories as truth? What is the difference?"
Anybody want to comment?
Reading about Davids life is like watching a soap opera. He made mistakes. Many mistakes but yet was called a man after Gods own heart.
I have been reading the psalms lately. It seems unthinkable that Saul would be so jealous of David that he was trying to have him killed. A prince of Egypt sleeping in caves like a homeless person.
So here are some more unanswerable questions:
1. Why didn't God put David on the throne and protect him from Saul right away?
2. Why didn't God forgive Saul from seeking advice from his dead mentor Samuel.
I was just thinking about Isreal in the Wilderness for 40 years. Lifespans were not that long then. If I was a kid who had been born in the wilderness I probably would have thought God was not real. As an adult I would have left Moses (he must be lost wandering in circles for 40 years) and gone to join another tribe. They did grumble "why did you not leave us in Egypt....the slavery was better than this" Yet the slavery was not. They had to work seven days a week, they were starving and they were beaten and humiliated.
Now that is a simple question, are there alternatives ... vertigo images of Black and White Chaos ... entering the pure realm of Love and no reason or the opposing realm of pure thought and loosing all desire to hurt the traveling companion?
Wired, wye'd or weird!
What scares a strong person more: love or intelligence?
