A church I once served did a building project to make the church accessible.
It was no easy task.
The building was historic; there were some unique architectural details to be considered.
And then there was the pipe organ. Pipe organs and construction do not go well together. At all.
Running alongside all of this engineering work was the fundraising. And it was a major task. The total project cost was well into six figures.
We did everything; government grants, fundraisers and, of course, pledges from church members and the community.
Does anyone else find the following report disturbing. OR are you not surprised and suspect that the US was already doing this.

I just noticed that Wondercafe now has Facebook & Twitter pages. Many discussions that appear on this website also appear on Facebook & Twitter in public pages.
Once information appears on Facebook, its near impossible to get rid of in the future, and they have control over it.
Personally, if I wanted to discuss on Facebook, I would prefer to choose to do so myself.
Any thoughts on this issue?
I was reading recently about the growing use of private "nanny cams" both in households and institutional facilities.
State of the art hidden cameras have become very affordable and it's now possible for practically anyone to use a spy camera in their home or in a hospital or nursing home room.
Last year, I attempted to create a private group to be a safe place on the cafe for sharing personl thoughts without being challenged or set upon by those who might be unsympathetic. For whatever reason -- maybe the because the format was new and the bugs weren't ironed out -- someone was able to find this group via tracking from my profile, and not only saw really private information that was shared by the members, but was also able to post a couple of those tired bible verses on the wall. I made a decision to delete the group, which was incredibly painful, since it was tr
Was it ethical for the state of california to allow an Iraqi family who have 6 children to let them take fertility drugs which led them to give birth to 8 more . 14 children, in all, 8 of them infants?
Who will support these children monetarily?
Should using fertility drugs depend on how many children you already have?
Is it not the state's business?
Is it important that I share my full financial status (ie show dear hubby my bank account statements etc.)? We each have our own account plus a joint account for savings and bills. We each put into the joint account a set amount of money to cover off expenses but the money in our own accounts is our business, as are credit cards.
