G~Õ~D is LOVE (1 John 3:8)--not a being with dimensions?
ABOUT AGAPE-love: Since I joined this formum, I have often written about the nature and character of will-based agape-love, which, in my opinion, is an essential component of the teachings of all the great religions that know about and sincerely make the effort to practice the Golden Rule.

Hi folks, I've been on a long break from the forum, longest ever for me, and lately my thoughts have been on the topic of whether we are all truly alone, and the nature of connections. I have been feeling amplified isolation lately, and seeking out sources of education on the topic, and relief (sometimes desperately). Today I turned to Wondercafe and did a search, which led me to Youth Worker's thread. I read some helpful advice there, including my own, which I had forgotten I'd written.
If there was only God, no Jesus , the man, no Spirit and for those who believe no 3 in 1.
Just God. God is very important in my life - with me minute by minute , day by day but if there was only God, there would be no stories of Jesus- no parables, no life lessons, no teachings of love and Agape. Theer might be Spirit but would I recognize it without the parables and metaphors that blows through the New Testement.
I was wondering are God, Jesus, and The Spirit always combined.
If not which entity do you relate most to in your life -God....Jesus.....Spirit?
Can you have one without the other?
Is one more important to you than another?
Yesterday at Wellington Square United Church, Guy Chevreau of Catch the Fire fame came and spoke to our congregation about the book of Revelation and how God fills our lives. He talked about how God is all around us, and that "God is closer to everything than it is to itself". But the thing that really stood out for me was his question to the congregation: "Do you want a God who fits nealty into your lives? I don't.

It's been a long time - again - since I blogged. LIfe often takes us on twists and turns that we least expect. That happened this year, in a big way. In July I saw a vacancy posted at Humber United in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. By mid-August I had said yes. It had to be the shortest search in the history of the church.
On November 7th, I said farewell to my congregation of five years, Glen Ayr United in Scarborough. What started as a one-year supply had stretched over five years, and many changes. It was a wonderful farewell, and a wonderful end to a good chapter.
