I would not like to see the pain that besh went through in "when is a david not a person" be totally for nothing. (and I believe that he did indeed feel pain and frustration, even if it was of his own making)
So, I'd like to resurrect the following from that exchange and invite anyone to share their ideas:
Besh asked: How will you get into heaven? What's the point of your religion at all?
and I replied (I've reorganized a bit, if anyone happens to go back to the original)

This is a very thought provoking and funny documentary about quantum physics and its relationship with science and spirituality. Its fairly long, but really fascinating.
In the last while I have seen statements like "My mother has 5 degrees" or "I have gone to 3 universities". is that suppose to mean that people who are more educated have a better handle on religious matters?
Does it mean that these folk are more spiritual?
Seems like a put down to me.

Welcome to my blog — a place to reflect with me on God's healing of soul, community, and creation. I hope you will visit often and be part of this sacred conversation.
My first official stop as Moderator was on the beach at Naramata Centre on Wednesday, August 19. Within a cathedral of light reflected by earth, lake, and sky, the community gathered for worship. Lake Okanagan was at my back as I donned the moderatorial stole for the first time since the installation service. As I draped it over my shoulders, the fringe of the stole touched the sand at my feet. My immediate reaction was to gasp and blurt out to the crowd “Oops—don’t tell anyone it touched the ground!”
There has been much discussion over the last months about spirituality and I also see within church circles that certain topics become buzz words - to be in vogue for a while and then forgotten. I hope that spirituality and the devotion to spiritual things is not one of them.
To some, who name themselves as spiritual , I see an arrogance coming through - that to be spiritual is to be "above", "better than", "closer to the Divine", and for those who are more orthodox, spirituality some how eludes them. I don't believe this is so.
What can everyone tell me about Celtic Spirituality?
Does anyone here have background knowledge about it, or practice its prinicples?
Not really sure which forum this post should belong to, but here goes...
I moved to Ottawa, Canada last December, and haven't yet found a church/spiritual group. I got burned out on mainstream church about 3 or so years ago, after I realized that I was only going to church because I had to (I was the audio technician) and that I was getting more out of the books I was reading during the sermons than I was actually getting out of going to church.
I've heard this phrase used by people from a variety of different backgrounds. Most recently I read it in the self-description of a group of Benedictine monks who live in the desert of New Mexico.
Are you a practitioner of 'Biblical spirituality' ??? What does it mean to you ???
