A thought, and I hope enough play along to make it worthwhile. Valentine's Day is coming up in 3 weeks. How about we play, "choose the Official Wondercafe Valentine's Day Song"? Pick your 3 favorite love songs (irrespective of genre, if someone wants to list opera arias or cynical songs about broken hearts, go for it) and list them in rank order (ie. first, second, third). I'll keep track and the top-rated song will be named the WC Valentine Song. Advocating for your own songs is allowed, but, please, no dissing others' choices (or at least keep it to witty, light-hearted dissing).
Well this Valentine's day I decided that because I am single I will wear no pants all day. At first it was a grand idea, just stick around the house in my boxers, glorious. Then I realized I had a meeting to go to just after lunch! Problem? I think not! I spent the rest of the day in a kilt!
Given this success, I declare February 14th to henceforth double as "Pantsless Singles Day"!!

Valentine’s Day. A time of love and romance and passion and sentiment. Not bad for a holiday that’s a Christianized version of a Roman festival that exists for the benefit of greeting card companies and florists.
Please understand—I come to praise Valentine’s Day, not bury it. This commercialized version of a Christianized Pagan love feast really acts as a place for our culture to put our considerable interest in love romantic, erotic, philial and unconditional. I for one rather enjoy that.

So here I am, on this day of days, Saint Valentine's Day. It is raining, I am listening to some tuneful music, I am warm....So here I am, on this day of days, Saint Valentine's Day. It is raining, I am listening to some tuneful music, I am warm.
Outside, people are going about, filing paperwork, cleaning the streets, tuning their guitars, getting ready for the night shift, climbing trees to fix worn wires, swimming in the bay to look for some dumped cargo.
We are busy.
