The United Church site is: www.united-church.ca

The "Administration" section is the area that contains this sort of information: pastoral and human resources, finances, bookkeeping, payroll, insurance for pastoral charges, health and dental and pension information, and other information in that vein.

"Administration" is a tab along the top of the graphics, on the far right of the www.united-church.ca page. 

 Click on that tab and you'll be presented with some choices, listed down the left side of the page: "Local Admin" is for pastoral charge level administrative concerns: http://www.united-church.ca/local (click on this)

Under that page, you'll now see a number of pages listed for various pastoral charge areas of interest with regard to adminsitration.  Click on Congregational Finance: http://www.united-church.ca/local/congfin

This is the page that is the intended target, featuring the updates for January 2011!

martha, is this information being sent directly to Pastoral Charges?  Otherwise many will never learn about it.

No. Well, yes and no. Well, yes in that Connex tries to get all pastoral charges up to date with all this sort of information, but no: letters directed to the speicific boards or committees responsible for the information are not being mailed out. The average 'mailing' for anything costs the Mission and Service Fund Thou$and$ of dollar$. (At least $5, 000 for pastoral charges ONLY)

GordW, if mailing these things out could guarantee that they were even read ...that might make it worth while,  but even direct mailing is no guarantee that information is actually recieved. We depend a lot on Connex to keep information flowing to pastoral charges on these issues!
