Polls have closed in voting on the final draft of the Wondercafe2 governance model and the results are in (SurveyMonkey sure beats counting ballots).
33 votes cast
27 in favour (81.82%)
6 against (18.18%)
The governance model is therefore passed since the document itself specifies a requirement for 80% to pass changes to foundational documents.

Hm... I wonder who the other five were. No matter, it has been passed. I accept that, and will abide by it.

It never even entered my mind to wonder, Jae.

I knew some people wouldn't like this governance model. A few years ago, I would have voted against it, too.

From another thread:
okay. what is defined as other contributions?
Doing some job or other to help the site (e.g. running a fundraising campaign).
Assisting Council in some capacity.
In-kind contributions.
I'm sure there are others I could think of if I wracked my brain.

yes, I am very familiar with grammar.
Here is what to be concerned about:
Council members must be registered users of Wondercafe2. Candidates should have an active, continuous history of posting on the forums during the 12 months preceding nomination or have a combination of posting history and contributions to the operation of the site through financial or other contributions during the 12 months preceding nomination.
If one wants to be clearly concerned, then examine what the requirements are for becoming a Council member.
NOW TELL ME WHAT OR MEANS?
NOW TELL ME THAT FINANCIAL, AND STILL NOT DEFINED OR OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS, MEANS?
AM I STILL REFERRING TO AN OLD DRAFT?
Please, correct me if I am wrong.
What financial contributions???? OR in kind???? OR Other???? And what does that have to do with Council???? How is that in any voluntary, nominational, elective process feasible?
OR means that only one condition needs to be met to qualify.
So, you can qualify based on "an active, continuous history of posting on the forums during the 12 months preceding nomination"
OR
You can qualify based on "a combination of posting history and contributions to the operation of the site through financial or other contributions during the 12 months preceding nomination".
Which makes the "financial or other contribution" purely voluntary since you can meet the first condition without it.
