Spirituality & healing ...

I often listen to on-line seminars from NICABM  (National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioural Medicine) - they're pretty interesting, featuring reputable folks talking about brain science, healing, trauma etc.  They're just starting a new series on Spirituality & Healing ... here's a link in case you're interested.   Seminars are free if you listen at the broadcast time - otherwise a fee is required.

And just to be clear - I have NO affiliation with NICABM or any of their speakers - I just think they're a good source of food for thought.

Thanks so much for this wonderful informative website. I hope everyone on the WC will take time to check it out. There's so much on it that I spent a lot of time but only read a few articles so far. I'm familiar with those who are giving the seminars. Good stuff! Some of these people are also quite prominent on You Tube.

Glad to share stardust!  Yes - most presenters that they have are well recognized professionals - most are authors too, for those interested in more learning.

Joan Borysenko's presentation this week was very interesting - I've heard her speak before.  She had some thought provoking comments about the role of forgiveness in healing, the actual physical stress of bearing grudges, aspects of resiliency, and of experiencing "the time between 'no longer' and 'not yet'" - i.e. that experience of dealing with loss/change and the uncertainty of what is to come as a result of it.

She also commented on the benefits of spiritual exploration with therapy clients & how many therapists avoid that realm, despite acknowledging it's importance - lots of reasons for that.

Ram Dass is the speaker tomorrow ... that should be very interesting!
