yesh, maybe we can have a travelling Conviviality
where we go from the Wiccan (Stanley Park? UBC forest?) to the Scientologist headquarters, to Materialism (vanc's Wall Street), to the Dalai Lama's centre? :3

Better watch you mentioning "our fellow sisters and brothers" to me in your message or I'll assume you're all atheists, Inna! Hmmm... maybe you are(?).
Either way, I'm unclear how to interpret your "maybe we can have a travelling Conviviality where we go from the Wiccan (Stanley Park? UBC forest?) to the Scientologist headquarters, to Materialism (vanc's Wall Street), to the Dalai Lama's centre" if it indeed stays that way - I've had text changed on at least one forum where someone deleted the text to which I was responding, which of course put my statement completely out of context and had negative (and false) connotations for me. That was rather unethical, it seemed. I wonder how many other times that's happened.
I was thinking / trying to suggest a coffee or something with my "...hook up", not a tour of sorts (perhaps I need to be more precise in my language). But sure, a drink might work too... though to reiterate, coffee is my preferred drink and @ a coffee house if you don't mind :-).

we could go to fag town...there are a lot of nice places on Davie
there's even a Denny's
there's even Sisters, where, if some magic happens, those of our party with the spark will visit for that special something *waggles eyebrows*
there's a Nandos chicken on 828 Davie St. they serve...
chicken
there are several tea shops
we could go to the Two Parrots, an infamous Davie St eatery
we could all dress up as Mafia and go to Cafe Calabria, on Commercial
we could go down to Granville Island, buy some fresh cheese, baguettes & fruit and have a peacnikpicknikik in Stanley Park if the weather is nice
too many and lots of choices for us sisters & brothers (of humanity) to visit
heck, even Neo could possibly come :3

I actually feel really uncomfortable with the term "fag town."
What day is this happening?

BrettA,
since you'll be the 'unknown' person here ('fresh meat!' ;3), how well do you know your way around town? will you have your own transportation? i use Public Transit myself.

Hey... Aplogoies but I won't be making it as planned... maybe a month or 2 down the road - dunno.
But to answer your questions, pretty well - I'll likely find anything vaguely near Davie easily enough... or remotely considered dowtown. And typically, I have wheels.
So mebbe later - sorry. Cheers, Brett.

I don't want to railroad this but may I go as well . . . in a couple of months . . . time, which may suit me as well. Yes, it has to be on the weekend. I would be travelling out of Departure Bay . . . if you can handle a withering old lady . . can take transit.
Somegirl will vouch for me. Hmmm how do you feel about kids? A picnic at third beach? walk along the seawall? We could meet in summer and let the kids swim at the second beach pool . . . assuming it is still open . . . yes, go down to commercial. My kids have to meet it. Is Joe's still a thing?
Long time since the 80s.

Thanks for that Somegirl . . . I find that it is better for my community status; however, to mention my age, often. I don't get competition from the supercompetative 20 - 30 year olds that way, strong and independent women, an dmiddle-aged men quit looking at me as an easy lay (women over 50 are suggestive and precise but never easy . . . {also, I am in a relatioinship, but to many people in a small community this never seems to be a real factor . . . kind of odd, I think that people think I am supposed to be ladder climbing and looking for the mythological stable - older male. Just to let you know Somegirl that when feminists have gone looking for actual statistical basis for this supposed "stable older male" they have found absolutely nada nihil!!!! It is in fact, a complete cultural myth formed likely on a patriarchal model but having nothing to do with actual stats or choices of women. In fact, the only possible correlation that feminist sociologists have been able to make between women and mate choices were
a. good in bed
b. attentive in bed
women like sex . . . and apparently, a lot. And news for older "stable" men, women want to marry their lovers. And that may work out to experienced men . . . or not. As you know, my partner is seven years younger than me . . . and apparently, I seem not to be abnormal . . . as odd as that may seem; however, I will say that my partner had already been through a good tour of relationships and was attentive to me in bed when he discovered how attentive I was in bed. Of course, the prevailing narrative of the upper middle and middle class who marry bank accounts, credit ratings, and career partners ie business partners, is that people like me are idiots, misled and possibly evil. That they spend their time in power over games with sexual misconduct and a list of adulterous relationships skips their analytic perceptions; especially if they downgrade their sensual centering as Lust, or whoring or whatever they refer to discover they really don't have limitations that they put on themselves, like bound Chinese feet (ah that was clever, my friend Waterboy might like that).
A rant a rant.
Anyway, thanks. I am 52. I love it, most of the time. I can't get a job because I have face wrinkles and I piss off the business harems with my good nature and ease with asking questions, and lack of interest in power games and one-upmanship, but I am strong, smart, in really great shape, and laughing is still a great thing to me. My kids TRUST me about a lot of things. I hope not to abuse this trust and I may be cool sometimes . . . not always, of course.
