Hello everyone,
I am so sorry that I have not been here as you have been here for me. I have little time and energy to spend online, and I try to stay abreast of the goings on and I end up running out of time all the time!
First, a big thank you for everything that peope have done, said, written and prayed for me. It means more than I can say; you all have helped me through what has been the second worst part of my life. WC members have made a significant, positive impact on my life. I appreciate this Group and I hope that I can pay it forward in the future.
Today I receive my new wheels. This means a great deal, including working toward a discharge date, possibly the first week of May if all goes well. While I am decidedly unthrilled about having to have a wheelchair, I do acknowledge the liberating return of my independence.
In time, I hope to sit down, uninterrupted by others always around me and schedules not of my own design and write to each of you.
I am forever indebted to all of you. Wow - I know you will take me up on that one! ;)
Love, rh

Dear One -- So sorry I didn't see your post sooner. I guess this place doesn't get seen much lately. Hoping by now you're enjoying the increased mobility and independence of using the chair. It's wonderful that your discharge is nearing -- looking forward to hearing more from you.
Please keep posting.
(((hugs)))
Don't hate me -- I'm going to link in Health and Ageing so your Wonderfriendz can respond.

No Wheelies for awhile! Sorry to hear that a wheelchair has become necessary, redhead, but happy to know that you'll gain some freedom. It's difficult for big girls to have their days bossed!

Greetings!
" a new way of walkin" . . . redhead. Do you need to do an "operator's test"?
Hoping that all goes well with your progress so that the first week of May does indeed lend itself to going home.
Wishing you an abundance of . . .
Hope, peace, joy, love . . .

Ah redhead ... I never remember to go to that group area. Thank you ninjafaery for highlighting this for us. redhead, I think of you so often. We appreciate hearing from you when possible and also realize the many challenges that don't allow for that to happen too often. Just accept the support and care from this community of people without worrying at all about how much you are able to respond.
And wow, new independence for you, something new to learn. I hope all goes relatively smoothly for you. Forget that part in what abpenny said - I wanna hear about the wheelies!!!

(((((redhead)))))) Sorry to say i've been neglecting to check groups as well so thank you ninja for posting for us.
Glad to hear that you're getting some independence back though you're not a fan of the form it's coming in. Take it as an adventure I guess but as someone said no wheelies for a while!!

Redhead ... I think of you often and please do keep us posted.
I have used a wheelchair in the past and although it is not my most favourite form of mobility it sure beats no mobility at all and gives you independence which is awesome.
Take care and lots of gentle hugs coming your way,
and of course lots of love and licks from ...
Kodi, Korry and Teddi Bear .

Zoom Zoom! You go girl! I hope that thing has a loud horn on it ... the world needs to know you're coming! And remember ... it's a "power" chair, not an "electric" chair!!!
Wondermail me when you move so I can keep track ... there may be another visit or dinner party in our future!

Great news.
now you need some fancy decorations for the chair to make it your own.
Hoping that discharge planning is going well

Thanks Ninja for the redirection. Like the others, I forget to go to the groups.
Redhead that is great news! While I sense that the wheelchair is not something you had on your bucketlist, I have no doubt that you will bring class & style to your new wheels. Wheelies sound great, but I'm guessing you'll come up with some far more interesting tricks. Will there be a holder on it for your DC with lime?
Please stay in touch as you are able. We miss you here.
