Redhead's Group

This is a fabulous idea!  And... my roommate fought her way to freedom!!! It was incredible  to watch.  So, the pomms, the busygang, nam's secret karate moves are appreciated but now unnecessary... instead, we all can gather, kick back and relax.

I, for one, would appreciate a tall, cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc...and some baked  Brie, wrapped in phyllo (sp) ...anyone else bringing yummy appetizers and bevvies?

Wolfie, I hope you will take charge of the grill, and perhaps later in the evening, a  big bonfire...

I expect some great food from Pinga, Carolla, and I know that Namaste attends  many potlucks...

Of course, we are set up by a beautiful lake with sa nice sandy beach.  And, for our convenience, there is a combo chip wagon/ ice cream stand just off to the side of our fabulous picnic and lounge area - with extra large comfy chairs and outdoor sofas, many tables...and of course, board games!!!

Hi all...here I am .....got my bells on too!

The poms are here also with their Canada Day t-shirts on.

I have made a cake with a Canadian flag on top, and is filled with fresh strawberries and topped with whip cream.

Redhead....did someone say a dj is on the way?

I'm back -- I had to work a shift today, but I'm back.  I guess I'll have to fire up the bbq.  I'll make a roaring bonfire too.  Marshmallows, Caramilk Bars and Graham crackers for 'smores for later.

I'll also start the tunes til the dj gets here.

Looks at the antiquated BBQ fire pit and thinks to himself... I can work with this. Sets about getting the fire started and making sure there is room for everything.

I'm good at hearths and BBQ's. (But Bonfires - are my specialty)

(Now... I know, that you have noticed a change in me. I mentioned all about it in the Cafe Social.) Now I just have to make sure my Feathers dun catch fire on the Barbie...  and I hope the cats won't think I'm an over sized canary treat waiting to be plucked!!! LOL

I can't think of a better way to share this time than with friends like you... um... well I could with my sweetie....but ya know what I mean

It's a bit chilly for swimming but those fries are calling me.  I like mine with tons of salt and malt vinegar.

I think everyone else must be cuddling with their respective sweeties this evening.

piles the wood off to the side for the bonfire later on, and makes sure the coals and wood for the bbq are heating nicely waiting for the meat to arrive.

Places a large container of homemade Iced Tea on one of the tables and takes a glass to refresh himself from the heat of the bbq.

Helps set out chairs and blankets for those that like to sit on the ground.

Places comfy cushions for the animals to lounge on at their leasure.

How do I want the steak cooked?  Well ya know how ABPenney likes it don't you?  I want mine cooked way more than that.

i have brought some warm german potato salad, made with bacon, thinly sliced red onions and bunches of chopped dillweed, dressed with sa wonderful dijon vinagrette... and some yam frites ready tto dip into tzatziki...mmmmmmm....

sorry all, i just moved rooms in real life...we had to create some isolation rooms on my floor...and since we dont do coed, I had to move...fourth time since i have been in hospital...thiswas a bit rough...
