Congregations across the country have undertaken various measures to be more accessible and welcoming to everyone. Wouldn’t it be great to share the learnings with the whole church?

Please help by taking a short survey about what your congregation is doing to be a more accessible and welcoming space. The project may be large or small, may or may not have involved physical changes, may have been investment in technology or a change in practices – we want to hear them all.

 In looking around the net I can across this funny story from the AP.  I thought we could start a thread to share humour church related stories.

Christ’s Strength in our Weakness

In the Abilities Church we like to quote the last line of this text, “when I am weak then I am strong”.  After all, the core message of the Abilities church is that those with disabilities have something vital to contribute to the Church.    This is an important message and something I affirm, but we need to understand the context and where our strength comes from.

Everyday I have to take pills. These pills cause side effects which cause me to take more pills.
