FFS

Once again I am having contact issues.  Wrong information supposedly updated Dec 2008 they can't tell me how.  I only find this out after being left an 11-digit phone number, all I know it's from AHS and is for pre-reg.

Turns out, it's for an important specialist appointment.  I called AHS' healthlink line.  They wouldn't help me get a correct phonenumber, so I do trial an error with the 11-digit phone number I was given.

Alberta Civic Elections

Someone on FB commented that perception's of Alberta are going to change due to the elections, between Calgary and Edmonton now both having progressive mayors.

So have they?  What were they previously and what are they currently?

Also, I thought this was amusing:

Albertans just shouldn't be involved in federal politics

Does Trudeau ever expect me to vote for him now?  To me, it sounds as though the Liberal party doesn't want us to have a fair say.  It was bad enough that for a while we didn't have an equal vote due to the larger population/MP here.

What is Harper up to?

Oil to China? Free trade with China? What's this all about?

Historically, Canada has always played second fiddle to its most important trade partner - first Britain, and now the US. Canadian business has always pressed for Canada to ape the foreign policy of the nation they depend on , and to fight its wars. And that is what we have done since at least the late nineteenth century.

Moderator Mardi Tindal's blog: Appealing to heart and soul

I often speak about how people of faith provide the impetus for national discussions and dramatic shifts by appealing to heart and soul. I love recalling the leadership of, among others, William Wilberforce, Nellie McClung, Tommy Douglas, Martin Luther King Jr., and Desmond Tutu.

oil sands are polluting the athabasca river system - study

a new study by researchers at the university of alberta shows that, contrary to what industry and government officals are saying, the oil sands ARE dumping huge amounts of pollutants into the athabasca river.

in fact, one of the lead researchers calls for RAMP to be completely dismantled, saying that their failure to find the increased levels of toxins in the water and snow pack proves that they are 'incompetant'.

Grant MacEwan College: a Culture of Deception?

See video

My video response to a May 2009 letter from Alberta Advanced Education Minister Doug Horner, written, he said, at the request of Premier Ed Stelmach, in response to a post I did in April 2009 on my fakirscanada.spaces.live.com/default.aspx  site regarding Alberta Auditor General Fred Dunn's reported concerns, regarding the "culture" and "the tone at the top" of Western Canada's largest tax-payer-funded public college, Grant MacEwan College.

Real Estate Alberta

Glad I stuck it out with the real estate market in Alberta.

Where investors are loosing money along with their shirts its good to know that real estate is the last thing you will see getting lost (shirts, money).

I actually started up www.AlbertaHomesListed.com in order to help people find realtors in their respective areas. This isn't the MLS by any means but it sure helps out other realtors when people have spoken to a professional and are already preapproved.
