Wondercafe conference

People have tossed around the idea of a wondercafe conference or gathering.

I am posting this thread to allow us to weave in & out of the idea

Some of the things that come to my mind are:

a) what is unique about wondercafe and contributors that would be interesting to others

b) what would the conference look like? would it have lanes similair to the discussion topics

c) what location would make sense

d) funding  / costs / challenges

Can Atheists accept God?

Can an Atheist accept the value of God?

I am an atheist, however, I believe in the value for those who believe in God existing.  I am wondering if that value, through poetic understanding of this religious icon, can be learned in a way Atheists would accept it.  This is a new thought I had which I am only recently undertaking, but I thought it might be nice to get other atheist's perspectives on it.

Is Atheism a religion?

Me and a friend got in quite an arguement. So, do you think Atheism is limited to the common disbelief of God, or does it have it's own aspects or "religion" such as beliefs, rules or followings?

How did you come to be an atheist/skeptic/non-believer?

As an athiest myself, I was wondering how others came to be non-believers.  I can tell you my story if you want, but I am interested in how others came to be that way?

Now this may be a good chance for those of us who don't believe to let the believers know how we came to the conclusion that there is no god, and give them maybe some understanding why we think the way we do.  For any people of faith who have questions, please feel free to ask.
