If you want to start a discussion, ask why the number of people in the pews of the main line churches in Canada, and especially in the United Church, has declined precipitously since the 1960s.
The usual answer you will hear most often is that churches have moved away from God and have taken on a larger role in politics or made decisions which people disagree with.
This is the revised home page of Accessible Church. I have change the tone, after several people pointed out how certain things seemed to them, and how I could say the same things in a less angry sounding tone, I have either revised or removed those sections or pages.
I found when I was a teenager Church sermons did not really speak to me anymore. Most of my friends quit attending Church so I did too.
I try to read my Bible regualarly and read spiritual books once in awhile. I know that the Churches in my area do not have a weekly Bible Study. I volunteer for local charities. My friends are all outside of the Church so in the new milenium is Church even relevant? I still believe in God and pray I just don't think that I need Church to do it.
