I just found out they are making one of my favorite all time novels into a movie.  I always figured it was good movie material so I was initially pleased.  Then I found out Rob Pattison is cast as the main character, Jacob (the  younger).    Reese Witherspoon plays the heroine.  Nothing against the guy,  I am sure he will do a good job. My main concern is the current big Twilight brou-haha.  I am scared this will movie be pushed and promoted as a chick flick.   And even if they don't, the female populace will do it anyway.
