Separated Because of Immigration

I don't know if this has to do with religion and faith to most people or not, but it certainly does to me. My husband and I moved to Canada in May 2009 so that I could attend seminary in preparation for the ministry. Since then, the rules for permanent residency in Canada have changed, and one of us must be offered a full-time job before we can apply for permanent residency. Therefore, he has had to move back to South Korea (his country of residence) to support my educational costs (I am a US citizen).

I'm employed again!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I've found myself a job - at the United Church of Canada.  Crazy, eh?

Workshare

I couldn't really think of a right place to put this, so I've put it here.

I'm sure many of you have seen the recent ads for EI that include the new(ish?) workshare program where people receive EI benifits for a couple of days a week while still employed.

I was wondering if any of you have had experience with this program and if so could you answer a few questions for me?

Basic Communication Skills

One of the major activities I provide my English as a Second Language adult students is the opportunity to work with their new language tools in their own offices or homes as homework.
