The read fuss about General Petraeus

I haven't have time to check news media across Canada. Are they getting the real story about GeneralPetraeus and his resignation as CIA chief?

It has nothing to do with two mistreses and a wife. (Nor is he a brilliant general who turned the war around in Afghanisant. How could he be? It hasn't turned around.)

Who is on the Lord's side?

An American army colonel of considerable military respect was assigned by congress to prespare a report on the conduct of the Afghanistan war.

His report appeared a few days ago - probably not in many North American news sources. I got mine in the Guardian.  (With an e reader. you can get the Guardian for under  $20 a month.) The report is blistering.

Lying

So I watched another movie called A Simple Plan last night.

This was a good movie.   It started out with 2 brothers and a friend who found 4 million dollars.  They were tempted like we all would be to keep it.   Overnight everything changed for them.  They were going to keep it until they knew nobody would be looking for it.  If someone would look for it they would burn it.

Lying

Lying is a contraversial subject.

We are not in court so the whole "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God'  is not a good way to live real life.

We all lie.

How many men have answered the question "Do this skirt make me look fat?"  with "of course not honey it makes you look slim"   when the opposite is true?

Lying

I saw this posted on the Internet this morning. What do you think. Do you lie or do you tell the truth?

Do you lie on the internet?

Are there any good Lies?

Coming from reading the strip club/lap dance discussion.  Let's take that actual activity out of the equation.  For me, having trust in my relationship is the biggest thing.  And lying is a sure way to lose that trust.

Would it be a deal breaker?  I don't know, I haven't been in that situation.  But if my husband lied, or omitted to tell me, about a significant thing, then I'd be pissed.

My question is, are there any good or forgivable lies?
