Bishop John Shelby Spong discussing the purpose of religion. Your reactions and responses?
My family and I have recently left a United church that has adopted so-called "Progressive Christianity" as its new direction for the future.
Before making the decision to leave, I did some independent research on "Progressive Christianity" and saw, through God's grace, that although it "sounded" fair and good on the surface, it was false teaching and ultimately, deception.
Hello Friends,
This is my first post on WonderCafé! I'm Mark Andrew from Kitchener, Ontario, and I have a fundamentalist evangelical background. I grew up in a small town in southwestern Ontario, then moved here to attend Bible college. Then my theological beliefs started to change drastically, and everything changed. Actually, I just posted a video on YouTube about it if you'd be interested in checking it out! I talk about exploring the UCC, Unitarians, and now Unity. I also am inspired by Buddhism and some contemplative Christian authors. Thanks!
Radio evangelist Harold Camping, who announced that the Rapture would occur Saturday May 21st, has had another revelation: He says that the world will now end on October 21st. Camping says God held off on Saturday out of mercy: God did not want humankind to suffer for five months, but nevertheless, God was here on earth, spiritually.
