PLACEBOS, NOSCEBOS, MAGICAL HYPNOTIC TRANCES--powerful and mysterious forces for good and evil--were not common words in Jesus' day. But this does not mean that they did not use and feel the impact of what they mean, which I will talk about, later.

God is the wonder and beauty of the world.

God is the forces shaping a world that is constantly changing.

God is the love and hope in human hearts.

I came across this term to describe what happens to famous people when they become jerks through the adoration of swathes of fans, and it's effect on their mental health and wellfare. As we know, some have ended up dead, others go through serious drug addiction, depression, multiple failed mariages, etc, etc.

Jesus instructed those who chose to be followers of The Way--and this includes us today--not just to preach, but to teach and heal. 

In the light of this I ask: Is our church really serious about  being involved in the healing ministry and the integration of body, mind and spirit so much a part of the ministry of Jesus.?

In our concern, and rightly so, the ecology of our globe let us also include the ecology of our individal bodies.
