A lady friend of mine in the jewellery business told me that silver crosses and anhks and other common religious patterns always sell better than gold versions of the same design. She believes it’s because gold is not spiritually fashionable, and never has been (my wife thinks it’s because more clothing options happen to match with silver than gold). It could also be that silver is much cheaper than gold… I would like to explore the idea of a spiritually fashionable metals.
Things have changed over the years, lets look back on the dawn of man and the fashion of wearing religious iconography.
I'm in a production of Children of Eden with Scarborough Music Theatre. Great music by Stephen Schwartz (Wicket, Godspell, Pippin) and a book based on the stories of Adam and Even and Noah and the ark.

Yesterday I was downtown at 20 Bay st and I went for coffee at the Second Cup. Under the prep station as you know, they keep the trash. It was spilling out the top. While I was adding milk and sugar to my brew I happened to gaze down and to my horror... and I saw... Second Cup does not recycle their milk containers!
Let me tell you a little story about Siera Bearchell, a 16yr old girl that lives in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan
In Januray 2009 the Bearchell family home burned to the ground, and Siera was left homeless.
So then she entered the miss teen canada beauty pageant in May, and championed a 'disaster relief' platform.
Siera Bearch is 2nd from the left in this photo below - those are all the other Saskatchewan contestants.

Hey Gang,
Last year when I passed through Toronto and stopped for a few days, I asked y'all for suggestions of things to do. You gave me a million great ideas and I had a fantastic time.
Last year, I went to...
- Eaton Place and other malls
- CN Tower
- Casa Loma
- That big museum downtown
- Science centre or whatever it's called
- The zoo
- Hockey museum
- CBC museum
- Walked by CHUM City (but there was no action there)
- The Chinese Lantern Festival
Maple Leafs = losers
Raptors = losers
Blue Jays = losers
Why are all the Toronto teams such losers? (somebody will have to fill me in about the Argos, Toronto FC, Rock, etc. as I don't follow these teams.)
