Think of water
Falling as rain
Bubbling up from springs
Running down as streams and creeks
Until they meet in the larger flow of a river.
Think of a River;
Water flowing;
Carrying silt and debris
From all the places it has touched.
From all the streams and creeks that have fed it
Think of the ocean
Receiving the water and all that it carries
From all the rivers
From all the streams
I'm finally tackling my second service on the four classical elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water). This one will be Water. For the meditation, I'm doing a rather poetic meditation on the flow of water as a metaphor for the flow of life/time. Traditionally, we follow the meditation with a musical meditation. Normally, it's classical music from a rather lectionary-like three year schedule the sound guy worked out. I prefer to pick something that fits my theme, and in this case I have two popular songs that I've long been fond of that fit the flow idea:
I'm after a printed prayer I found and used for worhip in the spring. It's in the hymns part of voices united (not the back part0
It's kind of/sort of a paraphrase of the Lord's prayer-similar sentimeents-but it talks about WATER
I acan't find it in the index of prayers-they are too vague
Anyone know this prayer and could tell me the number of it?
