My main reading for this Sunday is Luke 15 (the lost sheep, the lost coin, the lost son).
I just posted my initial draft of my sermon in the blogs -- it is too long so I will need to cull it before Sunday. While working on the overall thime for Lent of growing in holiness, this message also focuses on the lne in the Creed, to love and serve others.
Message for March 10, 2013. This will be edited and some pieces culled or shortened before Sunday.
Wholeness/ Holiness 2013 03 10 Luke 15:1-32
Eric grew increasingly irritated as his friend Jim would casually solve all kinds of puzzles. One day Eric handed Jim a set of blocks. "Here, Jim. These blocks are supposed to be able to make a cube. How quickly can you solve it?"
Next day, Jim asked Eric how to solve the puzzle. Eric said, "First, you need the block I didn't include."
Hi,
I'd like to talk about aethiesm and spirituality and life after death.
Right now, today, I feel a bit lost. I tried to connect to athiests in my area, but they didn't have the same values as me. I still believe in respecting my elders, helping the less fortunate, etc. I just don't believe that I owe this service to a higher being. It would be a lot easier if I did believe. I wish I could. Maybe you can help me?
