In the Cards

The folks at Tim Horton's this morning loaded up my thermos with caffeinated coffee. This is not a good idea when you are a decaf only person. I get hyper, sort of swear a bit more, and then "crash" in the afternoon.

I'm a bitter.

Lately, I have brought my decaf from home however our french press cracked when I was using it this morning. Coffee all over the floor, all over my pjs. All over!

shedding old skin

I was in church this weekend when I realized my face was numb. My daughter looked at me and asked me if I was crying because my face was wet. In fact, I was experiencing a rather horrendous allergy attack. Again. Eczema gone wild, if you will.

You see, if you have eczema, and if bacteria gets into it, you can get cellulitis. I had it on my hands and face, and let me tell you, it was not a good look. My face doubled in size. My skin was seeping. Grody all around.

I haven't even begun to discuss the itch. Or the irritability.

Giving it all up

Ever had an unexpected allergic reaction that gave you eczema all over your face and hands?

I am recovering from this, and wow. It's humbling. Almost as humbling as when I had chickenpox when I was 23.

I guess you have ascertained that I'm a bit vain. It's true although there is no real cause. Okay, maybe insecurity, but isn't that a lifetime affliction. ;-)  Still, I've never had this happen before and it makes me all kinds of stressed out and nervous, and just plain uncomfortable with myself and who I see in the mirror.
