What can we learn from Modern Science

1. Science is very successful, and proof about this is all around us. The progress of modern science in the past decades it’s been astounding and part of this progress is the world wide network of communication (built with the help of science itself) helping in sharing ideas and theories within the worldwide scientific community.

2. Science is always wrong. This is a strange statement, but we’ve seen so far that the progress of science is built on more encompassing levels of truth that enable us the understand the nature around us, and while some theories are being discarded, most of them, as we realize later, describe correctly only a portion of reality, according to our current knowledge, while more encompassing laws are added.

3. Science’s object of research are the unchanging laws of nature, that apply to everything around and within us, from the smallest things around us to the very universe we live in. These laws, we find, are the very same laws that govern everything, meaning they are universal laws.

The fact is that we can not discard science, regardless of our individual beliefs. Even if a higher truth is discovered the same laws will continue to apply, and we will still be using the very same gadgets that science put at our disposal to make our life more efficient and comfortable. Spirituality as all encompasing, including this reality, will only add to modern science, but not substract from it.
