Has anyone not heard about the NFL referee strike and replacement refs?

I admit to not being a football fan. I am not much of a sports fan, at all. I do watch the news and had heard tons about the NHL strike. The NFL strike? I guess it was not a newsworthy item since the athletes would play, the advertisers would make their money, the fans and the networks would have their games... The referees have been locked out by the league since June.

Yet, everything changed in a split second.

With a past in one faith and a present in another, I have found common ground.

I do not say my Jewish friends, family, et al that they have "missed the boat" or are destined to one version of hell or another.

I re-read my Common Ground blog. I found myself led there. I said loud and clear there that, for me, wrong was wrong and the backdrop today that found me there, re-reading, is debating those who believe in pacts with the devil and God smiting Haiti because proper respect was not paid and that all humans are not worth snot...

I could not find the volume to scream, "NO" with as much passion as wells in me.

Much has went back and forth of late with believers and non-believers. I do not use theist and atheist, because for me, not all believers are theist believers and not all non-believers would say they are atheists. I cannot use religious and irreligious, because I know many a believer who is not a fan of organized religion. So on and so forth.
