In 2011, Alsfeldt celebrated 155 years of faithfully serving God. Always part of a multi-point charge when the Evangelical United Brethren Church joined The United Church of Canada, we became a two point pastoral charge with Knox United Clifford. When you join us for worship you will be welcomed by greeters and our minister. Pew packs keep younger children busy as worship begins. Most Sundays the children attend Sunday School, after spending time sharing good news and talking with our minister. On communion Sundays the children remain with us through worship. Everyone old and young, members and guests are welcome to share in communion. Journey with us as we seek to know God more fully.

About the Service

Worship with us on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. For special services we worship with our sister congregation Knox United in Clifford or they join us.  In July, we worship at Alsfeldt and in August at Knox.

About the Neighbourhood

Alsfeldt is situated in the Municipality of West Grey, near the village of Ayton. Ayton is a neat little rural village nestled on the banks of the Beatty Saugeen River in the centre of a prosperous farming community. In Ayton, has active community groups that host a variety of events throughout the year from dinner theatre to ball tournaments, community fun days to golf tournaments. Quick Facts

What's heavenly about your church?

The people of our church are warm, friendly and welcoming.

How do people dress for service?

Whether you dress formally or casually, you will feel at home. Don't forget to wear your Jeans for Jesus in November and make a donation to the Mission and Service Fund.

What music is played during services?

Our musicians, Peggy and Josie play the organ and piano to help us share the good news through song. During special music our members sing, play instruments or we join in singing a favourite hymn.

What happens after the service?

Plan to stay for food and fellowship the first Sunday of the month and on special occasions. Whether we are sharing a light lunch or a full meal everyone is welcome.
