Choiceland United Church is situated 40 kilometers west of Nipawin on Highway 55 making us the only United Church west to Prince Albert (100 kilometers) and south to Melfort (80 kilometers) and there are no United Churches north of us. For this reason, we are hoping to maintain the United church presence here for the people who have had associations with the United Church. In the early 30’s, church services were held in several of the school districts in the area. In 1949 a building was purchased and moved to our present location at 215 Main Street in Choiceland and the first service was November 19, 1950. .We extend a warm welcome to all. We are a very small congregation with about 50 families with an average of fifteen people at our worship services the first three Sundays of the month. The community support is excellent at our two or three fund raisers a year: – walk-a-thon in June, spring tea in April and up until last year we had an October fall supper. We have Advent and Lenten Bible studies each year. Last November, the Catholic and United congregations organized a pot luck fellowship supper which was followed by games and visiting. We had a Shove Tuesday pancake supper with the Catholics on February 5. These gatherings are going very well and we are looking forward to more joint activities with the Catholic congregation of Choiceland.

Everything goes.

What happens after the service?
