Cooke's-Portsmouth is the result of two 'old' Kingston congregations being joined in the 1960's. The people bring a deep Presbyterian and Methodist tradition together that is 'United Church'. We have a good music programme which augments the worship and mid-week activities. The church was built in 1967 and is an "A" frame construction. We are something of a 'community centre' in the old subdivions of Calvin Park and Polsen Park. Our services use visual aids to enhance our worship. We are a busy church and welcome people to come and get involved with us and the community-at-large in Kingston. In 2005, the Kingston Korean Presbyterian Church began worshipping Sunday afternoons in our sanctuary. It has been a wonderful relationship.

About the Service

Our main worship service is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday mornings.

About the Neighbourhood

Calvin Park is a residential sub-division near the city centre.
