Millgrove United Church (The liveliest little church in Flamborough/Ontario/Canada!)

Our worship service now starts each Sunday at 10:30 am, with Sunday School for children of all ages. You will find a clear message with meaning; relating God's Word, as found in The Bible, to YOUR life today. Imagine a beautiful country church (founded in 1881), where modern technology is used to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to life. A kind and caring congregation waits to welcome you as part of the family, where you're a name not a number. We want to ensure that you are very glad you decided to join us. The songs we sing during worship are filled with powerful messages, are easy to sing and, most importantly they honour God! Additionally we enjoy hearing stirring anthems, as well as the occasional solos and duets. Bottom line - music is a very important part of our worship service - our humble offering to our audience of 'One'!

About the Neighbourhood

Millgrove is a little piece of rural paradise, just a very short drive away from Waterdown, Burlington, Hamilton and Dundas. Neighbours wave to each other, and gather at the General Store to drink coffee and shoot the breeze. Just beyond the edge of the suburbs, Millgrove has stayed quaint, with a strong sense of community.

Are there any special events during your services?

Each service is special in some way. From the choir anthem to the youthful praise song to the relevant bible based teaching - you will not leave unaffected! The first Sunday of every month we celebrate Communion. www.united-church.ca/beliefs/overview#4

What kind of music can I expect to hear during services?

Our worship is piano accompanied and led by The Millgrove Choir. You will hear hymns as well as contemporary praise songs. Music is the icing on our services!

How do people dress for service?

Some a little dressy, most casual. Every attire is accepted!

What happens after the service?

Coffee, tea and homebaked goodies accompany friendly conversation every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall! No one comes to church to be alone, so we look forward to getting to know you.

Is your Church available for weddings?

Absolutely, with no membership required! With the Millgrove Community Centre just steps away your guests only need to park once!

Church Minister

REVEREND TED VANCE

Rev. Ted brings to us a unique background of a successful career in sales and marketing, before he listened to God's call to do something important with his life. Relevant, stimulating preaching; interesting worship, helping the congregation through all life's stages, and church growth are all passions that form his ministry. Ted is happily married to his wife Cris, and they live with their son, Alex (19) and daughter, Sara (14), two beagles, one cat and a chinchilla. He also has a son, Kevin, from a previous marriage. With a broad range of life experience, Ted is able to relate very well to the personal lives of the congregation. In addition to God, the Church and his family, Ted loves; golf, Classic Rock music, fast cars, hot wings and watching football, especially the Buffalo Bills, and Hamilton Ti-Cats.
