St. Andrews United - Robie Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia

St.Andrews United Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia is fantastic! We have been members of this diverse and inspirational congregation for 18 years. Energetic, relevant, thought provoking services and sermons by Preacher Extraordinaire Russ Daye, beautiful music by Kevin Parks + his choir and creative, nuturing Youth Inspired programs and services by Rev.Martha Martin. The birth of our 2 children (now teenagers!) motivated our Halifax church search many years ago at a time when the United Church of Canada had earned the on-going admirable reputation of addressing changing times. We loved the architecture of the church, the wisdom of the minister at that time -Rev.Tony Wear, the diverse demographics and how members were willing to approach change issues with fairness, honesty, sensitivity and passion. 2 confirmations later, we feel even stronger today as this congregation keeps growing in size, attitude and spirit - even our children like hearing the sermons! As life often fluctuates between a Port in a storm or a storm in a Port or a day at the beach, it's great to know that St.Andrews is always sailing with full sails!

I write this now in May 2010. Still waiting for a reply.

Is it any wonder (mind the pun) I don't feel important?  Could it have something to do with the fact that I have waiting nearly a year for a reply to my post?

Joining

 Hello,

I am returning to Halifax sometime after the end of November 2009.  Can you please tell me how I join this Wonder Cafe group?  And I may be interested in having my membership transferred there, too.  Maybe we could talk about that some time?

Thanks very much!
