And the Tree of Life burst from my chest
Longing to touch the world around
Tearing through the soil of my flesh
My heart hung like a fruit in harvest
And although it was not yet mature
I offered it to your request
In desperation I water it with tears
Because this One fruit is not enough
Not enough to save you right now
But my Tree of Life wasn't meant
To bear more than One fruit
And I fear that its branches
May never reach you

Hi Aresthena:
Evocative poem!
Yes, Aresthena, those of us who have eaten the fruit from the Tree of Life try to give it to others, but it is not possible to simply hand it over. Everyone has to seek and find this sweetest of fruits on their own.
The fruit from the Tree of Life became my greatest joy and my deepest sadness. My greatest joy because it liberated me from suffering, my deepest sadness because I could not just hand it over to others and liberate them also.
Then the Lord God said, "See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever"—
-Gen 3:22

Thank you Arminius.
I found this poem along with a picture, and edited it here and there.
It is very pleasing to see that you have also understood the Tree of Life as it is.
The fruit was offered to me by a Friend some years ago, and it is just now that I realize its true powers. I was liberated too, but at the same time I want to help my friend overcome his own sadness.
The Tree tears us down and then picks us up. I have learned a lot thanks to this process.

Yes, Aresthena, the Tree tears us down and picks us up. The worst down for me was that I couldn't even help my own son with it.

I am sorry Arminius. I know the disappointments that the Fruit brings with it. The truth was never comforting.
Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we cannot outrun the storm, nor can we plead the gods to calm their tempest. Sometimes, the only thing that seems to be left is the misery that lingers with us. Sometimes we are left with so little.
But perhaps, in the end, there is more to be learned from the aftermath of
the storm? Perhaps, if we look deep inside, we may find the reasons to the question Why?
I hope you find these reasons. I hope we all, someday, can find the reasons why.
