Life is grand isn't it? I am scheduled to leave on my trip next week, and disembarking for almost six weeks. To this point, I have been doing a lot of self care and trying to bring myself to a new spiritual level to be ready to absorb my adventures on a soul and spiritual level. And just when I think I have it all down, it changes again.
In a few weeks I will travel to Scotland and Israel. So, what's the connection? Not sure, but I am about to find out that is for sure. This is my second trip to Israel and my first to Scotland. While in Scotland, I'll be visiting my ancestor's lands of Gigha ( meaning God's Island), Oronsay (the place of St. Columba who is my ancestor via Nial of the Nine Hostages), Colonsay and Iona. In fact, I'll be in Iona for Easter! Lovely.
So, what does that mean for us? I hear a lot of talk about Tolle and the greatness of the Presence of Now. Is that not just the Kingdom of God within us? What about this working out salvation on your own? If Jesus died for us, for our salvation, then why do we have to work on it?
