I'm not sure if the search function will be disabled, but it sucks. Use Google instead, with this syntax:

"search words or phrase" site:wondercafe.ca

Hi Folks,

We're working out the details about how the closing of WonderCafe will work, but the general outline is that the site will close for posting at the end of June. It will be left online for several months longer for reading only, with a notice on the homepage directing folks to WonderCafe2. After that period of time, the site will be removed and archived. It will be replaced with a redirect page to WonderCafe2.

The WonderCafe Search won't be active on the archived version, but you will be able to do a search of the site from here:

Currently, only the main headings are being picked up (i.e. the thread title), so that is all that is searchable. We are tinkering with the search controls to see if we can direct it to pick up more of the content.

Thanks, that's useful.  I think you might have shared that before, but I'm going to try harder to remember that format.  I usually use google, and then just add wondercafe or wondercafe.ca

Yeah, specifying the site is extremely useful.

rpg.net gave up trying to run a search function. They explicitly tell users to use Google with site:forum.rpg.net when they want to search.
