Support Our Faith Leaders On Climate Change

For those of your on Facebook, Trinity-St. Paul's United in Toronto invites you to share your support for faith leaders involved in the climate change issue. On November 27, please change your Facebook status to say,

"I support Bill Phipps' Fast for Courage (http://bit.ly/phippstin) , and Moderator Mardi Tindal's call of solidarity for leadership and action on climate change at COPS-17 (http://ow.ly/7GbqA). Copy and paste if you agree."

Here is a version for those on Twitter:

I support Bill Phipps' (http://bit.ly/phippstin) & @MardiTindal's call for action on climate change at COPS-17. RT if you agree.

Thanks,

Aaron

Thanks Aaron.  I will update my FB status.  This is a very important issue.

We also have a good discussion on the topic going in Global Issues.  ("Global Defrost", LBMuskoka").

Note: the Ecumenical Patriarch of Eastern Orthodoxy (Archbishop Bartholomew, Constantinople) also takes climate change very seriously and has issued an official statement:

We actually signed petitions about this at church. There are two federal ridings in which most of our congregation are residents, so there was one petition per riding. Unfortunately, however, both of our ridings are held by members of the opposition (one NDP, one Green). I say that this is unfortunate simply for the fact that the government is unlikely to pay too much attention to what is said in our ridings.
