There are some interesting FREE webinars coming up at a site related to CanadaHelps.org - I think some may have relevance to our work in churches.
This Wed features a couple of young guys who are developing new software for volunteer management that looks to have potential application for churches; and future sessions on donor stewardship, planned giving on-line etc. might hold lessons for us. See what you think ...

Looks like some good stuff.
They are connected to candahelps so are probably trying to drive business into that space.
Canada helps takes 3.9% to 5% off the top for processing fees. You must be a registered charity.
indiegogo takes 4% . Legal as long as just a donation with no implication of tax receipt. (ie, cannot be used for investing, etc.) Has campaign driven programs with perks, a lot like kickstarter but can be used for religious organizations.
Paypal takes 2.9 % plus .30c / transaction
of course, there are lots of options.

For sure lots of options pinga. Our church site is uses a Canada Helps donation button & some donations have been received that way. CH issues the tax receipts directly to the donor & donations can be issues "annonymously" to the charity - which some prefer - but they still get their tax receipt.

Better than doing a pass-through donation with United Way. They takea 15% cut if I remember correctly. Didn't do it again, after I chased that # down.

Google Analytics one would be interesting, from a futures, but also from a privacy. It is interesting how google is replacing government type data analysis (who remembers the government cutting the long form census)

we have some google analytics stats from our presbytery website - I have to admit I'm not very good at understanding or interpreting the data - so I hope for a lesson!
