It is really special to see this flag and know that I was part of it.  My name is below the picture.  I had the opportunity to sign it myself at the Five Oaks gathering.  It is great to be part of something as wonderful as the Wondercafe.

I was away so missed it - it looks good though.

Very, very cool.

I can even see the scribbles my 3-yr-old son Amado made, there under "Kay the Curler."

it is a beautiful piece of art as well as prayer flag filled with caring, good thoughts and love.

I've just seen this - wow, I'm impressed.

This is a great prayer flag, but would I be too irreverent in suggesting it would make a fantastic t-shirt?

I've just received my "official" wondercafe t-shirt - and, much as I value it, I'm too much of a coward to strut my stuff with GOD all over my chest. (btw I don't think my chest does God justice.)

 It looks like I'm Pilgrims Process - but I know it's me from Oz! 

I really like that idea, PP! I wonder how we could go about that, if the interest is there.

Thanks Pinga for collecting the flag.  What a great experience it was pulling it all together for you friends of mine.  And honestly, I am NOT a crafty person.   I have never minded a bit of sewing though.

Thanks for bringing this up again.  I well remember the flag.  My name is near the bottom - centre.  Many of us added our names at the Five Oaks picnic that Pinga helped me organize when I made a trip to Ontario that summer.  It was great to meet so many of the Wonder group at that time - and more since then. 

I'm so sad that the WonderCafe is closing.  So many people here have touched my life.  And perhaps I have touched theirs in some small way.

I was honoured to have my name on it and so to have a small presence at General Council In Kelowna.

The church I know attend-took a busload of people to the worship service there.

I'm in for a t-shirt.

Were there ever any flag t shirts made?

Is there a bigger/clearer picture?  I think I see the beginning of my name cut off on the right edge.  I was very grateful to have my name added after the fact since I was not at Five Oaks (not even in Ontario!).  T-shirts would be a great way to remember WC!

to see the full picture, you can copy & paste it to another programme - like Word - then the whole thing will show & be more easily read.  It is fun to review, I agree!

awww - nice to see this causing some smiles.  I think the actual flag is in someone's care.... anyone remember?  I have a guess, but will poke around.  

No t-shirts were made though we used a t-shirt transfer to make the question mark logo in the first place.  The package is still on my shelf.  I guess you could use the image, cropped properly to make something.

Prayer flag went to Aaron at GC.  Not sure if still there

If the UC functions like other denomonations I expect it was kept for the Archives. The flag resulted from WC - a new way to network with people inside and outside the congregations that many consider innovative and successful.  Surely something that meaningful would be kept for future generations?

Having said that I want to point out that;

I am aware that the keeping of Archives costs money that the UC doesn't seem to have

Aaron has multiple claims on his time

just because something is symbolically important to me doesn't mean anyone else thinks it matters in the least!

Yes, I have it. It's proudly displayed on my wall at work. (Soon, though, I am moving at work and won't have walls....I should see if Archives will take it. It's really nice!)

Thanks Aaron - your photo makes it easier for me to read the names.  Also Thank You for keeping it safe for so long.  I would be sad to think of it being tossed out like garbage - too reminiscent of the off hand treatment we have been given by the UC.
