Today I went through the "Water" exhibit at the Royal Ont Museum & was fascinated by much of it. One highlight was learning about the Play Pump - such an innovation ... kids play on a 'merry-go-round' that actually pumps clean water from a well as a result of their actions ... wow. I've been reading more on the internet tonight ... see what you think ...

carolla,
Huzzah for innovation :3
Hey, they should do something like that to help power office buildings or cities -- so that just us walking on the sidewalk or in the office can generate power. Under astroturf. In airports. Hmm :3

Hmmm indeed Inanna! You might be onto something there with the walking bit.
To take the natural energy & joy of play and have it net such a valuable resource ... well that's just amazing to me! Water is such a problem on some of our own First Nations Reserves ... wonder if the idea would work there ...

Brilliant concept - 5 min of play fills a bucket of water. Thanks for posting this carolla, very interesting and promising.
